Gag Gifts From Stupid.com

food blob

Every so often, we come across something on the internet that, deserves special attention.

Almost makes me what to….call in an order of it!!

Gag Gifts From Stupid.com

It’s not uncommon for the Anesthesia staff to give a patient some sedation while they are in the pre-op holding area. It helps them to relax and reduces their anxiety.

One guy was given some Versed (sort of like Valium) sedation about 15 minutes before surgery. As he was being wheeled out of the holding area, going down the OR hallway, he starts singing the most memorable part of a Three Dog Night hit song, “Jeremiah was a bullfrog….Jeremiah was a bullfrog…Jeremiah was a bullfrog”.

The pranks we pulled.

January 15, 2010

An Operating Room crew that works together day in and day out usually form a tight bond. This bonding can lead to many humorous moments inside and outside the OR suite. January 15, 2010

Sometimes, when we would have a light surgery schedule and finish early, a few of the more fun loving crew would engage in “Water Weeny Fights”. First; you prepared your weapon which was a thick silastic tubing filled with water. Second; you prepared the battle ground by turning off all the lights in the OR’s, [...]

Smackdown in OR 12!

January 14, 2010

I had helped one of our Ears Nose and Throat surgeons do a septo/turbinoplasty (that’s nose surgery) on a rather large and burly gentleman who happened to be a Vietnam Vet. We had taken all the normal safety precautions plus added another safety strap across his upper thighs due to his size. The case went [...]
